Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician born in Mexico was born to a music-loving family. Her early years were spent listening to traditional music, old boleros, as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of tangos, opera, and all forms of dramatic performance. Ana started learning how to play and sing at an early age alongside her mother. She received more formal training in singing when she was 16 years old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. When she was a student, and a young professional, she sang with many chamber groups and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. After 2000, she emigrated to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she returned to her current home in Southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. In addition to being a local performer and instructor and instructor, her passion for music and art keeps her active in a variety of projects. Ana was a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher of the Performance Loft. Ana appreciates the opportunity to share her love and love for the traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to instill a sense of particularly among the younger generation to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
